Conference Rental Celebrates Four Years of Successful Collaboration with Language Service Providers
Wednesday, 19 February 2014
Conference Rental, the lead rental provider for conferencing technology and language interpretation equipment, has always operated with a focus on collaborative business practices. For the past four years, Conference Rental has developed partnerships with language service providers by supporting them with their technology needs. This collaboration has generated great returns for both sides as the company explained in a recent announcement.
Understanding that many language service providers are experts at managing interpreters and projects but may struggle with equipment setup or coordination with other AV providers on larger events, Conference Rental stepped up and offered to take control of all technical aspects of multilingual conferences. With this program in place, Conference Rental allowed a lot of LSPs to expand their range of services.
Communicaid Inc., providing top quality translation and interpreting services since 1993, immediately found value in this partnership. “Although we had a vast pool of expert interpreters specialized in simultaneous interpreting, we didn’t have local, reliable and cost efficient access to top notch interpreting equipment,” said Victoria Reeder-Haïk, Director of Operations at Communicaid. “Conference Rental filled that gap, so we can now confidently promote Conference and Special Event Interpreting as a key service we offer our clients.”
Conference Rental and Communicaid have partnered on many events from city council meetings to multinational corporate conferences, such as a high profile Silicon Valley CEO summit they have supported for the past few years. Communicaid is now considered a one-stop shop for all language needs. When it comes to partnership, Conference Rental always takes a step back and let LSP partners be the main contact with their customers.
With the support of Conference Rental’s inventory, LSPs can execute large size international events. In fact, Conference Rental holds the largest inventory of conferencing equipment in North America including new generation interpreter consoles, full-size interpreter booths, and thousands of digital infrared language receivers for up to 31 languages. The company has proven able to handle multiple simultaneous events and high-profile congresses such as the G-20 Mexico Summit and the IMF World Bank Annual Meetings.
Conference Rental’s commitment to the language services industry extends even further. The company is an active supporter of organizations such as Interpret America, The Association of Language Companies (ALC) or the American Translators Association (ATA). They attend most industry events and accept speaking engagements to discuss the impact of technology and trends, such as remote interpreting.
“Getting involved with organizations that support language professionals has offered us valuable feedback”, said Andrew Murphy, Manager of Conference & Interpretation at Conference Rental, “Through these efforts, we’ve quickly learned how to further improve solutions offered in our rental inventory. We want clients to know they can count on us to win and execute large size events and congresses.”
Four years after initiating this collaborative program, Conference Rental will celebrate and share its success with the language industry community at the upcoming event think! Interpreting.
