Wednesday, 04 December 2013
Conference Rental’s office located in Beltsville, Maryland has emerged as a key rental center for the San Francisco-based company. Originally opened in 2012, the Beltsville office and warehouse is located a few miles from Washington, D.C. and supports all-size events in the area. The company announced this week an increase in their local equipment inventory in order to respond to the rising demand for conferencing technology, especially for multilingual events.
“Last year, Conference Rental was selected as the provider of simultaneous interpretation technology at the XIX International AIDS Conference, featuring high profile speakers Bill and Hillary Clinton,” said Padraic Walsh, Conference Rental Director of Sales and Operations “The event hosted over 5,000 attendees and we provided equipment for twelve meeting rooms with interpretation in five languages. The Beltsville office and warehouse made this possible.”
In Washington D.C., Conference Rental has also provided conferencing and interpreting technology for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Annual and Spring Meetings every year since 2010.
A wide variety of equipment is available at the Beltsville warehouse including 1,000 push-to-talk conference microphones, an ideal solution for hotel meetings and conferences, especially for corporate events. The systems include easy to set up daisy-chained microphones as well as some wireless microphones guaranteed interference-free. For language interpretation, full-size interpreter booths and over 2,700 digital infrared language receivers are available allowing language distribution in up to 32 languages.
The majority of facilities that Conference Rental’s Beltsville office supports are located in Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland. As a wholesale rental provider, most clients are audiovisual rental and staging companies, including AV services at hotels and convention centers, as well as language service providers. Conference Rental also sends equipment and personnel to other east coast facilities, with recent events in Atlanta and New Orleans.
“We are proud of the Beltsville office for doing such a great job serving the Washington D.C. metro area and the east coast as a whole” said Walsh. “When it comes down to it, we are all about providing quick and easy access to technology solutions for conference-style events – and this office is key to accomplishing that.”
