Saturday, 14 November 2009
Conference Rental recently provided push-to-talk conference microphones and interpretation equipment to the University of San Francisco, School of Law (USF) for a high-profile international symposium on emerging issues in trademark law.
With distinguished guest Justice Kong Xiangjun, Senior Judge of the Intellectual Property Tribunal of the Supreme Court in China and one of the World’s 50 Most Influential People in IP, delivering a key address in Mandarin, the University was facing the need for simultaneous interpretation. The interpreted speech was to be delivered simultaneously to both the audience in the room and the audience online where the day-long symposium was broadcasted live.
Conference Rental advised the organizing team at USF on solutions of superior technology to allow the meeting to run as smoothly as a single language conference. The TAIDEN digital infrared language distribution system was chosen as an ideal solution for this multilingual international conference combined with conference microphones to allow for superior sound reinforcement and audio distribution to the media. Nine Taiden 3632 all-in-one push-to-talk conferencing microphone were placed at the panelist table. The technology, offering CD quality audio, largely enhanced the quality of the broadcast.
Conference Rental uses the latest equipment on the market for their simultaneous interpretation events. The TAIDEN 5100 system was quickly installed consisting of 4 powerful digital IR radiators set up throughout the meeting space and 1 central control unit in the back. Before starting interpretation, 250 receivers were distributed to attendees. The IR receivers provided by Conference Rental have an ultra wide reception angle, unlike any other, giving every participator an exceptional pick-up of the interpretation signal. Finally, two Mandarin-Chinese interpreters took place behind their booth working on the new TAIDEN HCS-4385K interpreter station, with sophisticated features, that allow interpreters to do their job with ease.
With the aid of Conference Rental, the high-profile seminar on trademark law went smoothly, on-site and online, with superb audio quality in all languages. “We truly appreciated all Conference Rental USA did to assist us with making the event successful” said Bettyann Hinchman from the Office of Faculty Services at USF School of Law. “Never having provided any type of interpreting service before, it was a daunting prospect. However, Conference Rental USA made it very simple”.
